Sydney Fat Loss Expert Announces Bushfire Relief Group Training Session

Local Sydney Fat Loss Expert Daniel Munday of DPM Performance has organised for a special once off group training Fatblast workout next Wednesday in aid of the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal.

Munday, who has been horrified by the extent of the fires and the devastation that they have caused amongst the Victorian community, has commented “I cannot believe the amount of lives that have been lost and properties that have been destroyed. It is difficult for anybody to comprehend. I know that I am very fortunate to be in the position that I am in now, with my family and my health intact, so I want to be able to do something for those who are less fortunate”.

As a result of wondering what he can do to contribute in the best possible way, Munday has come up with the special lunch time 45 minute Fatblast workout, to be held at Observatory Hill in Sydney this coming Wednesday, February 18 at 1:15pm. “For anyone that is looking for a way to contribute to the Red Cross appeal, while doing something positive for themselves and their health, this is the perfect opportunity to do so. For a very small $20 investment, you get to contribute to a great community cause as well as get a sweat on at the same time”.

Munday will be donating his time to conduct the session, and has come out and led the charge by donating $100 on behalf of DPM Performance to the tally. “I have challenged my clients and other business associates to match my pledge and already have had some great response with the likes of James Keillor of Right Track Financial
Solutions and David Coote of Top Stuff for Business coming to the party. All money raised will be going to the Red Cross. I will not be making any money out of this” Munday stressed.

The goal of this fundraising workout is to raise $1000 to contribute to the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal. “This session is open to anyone providing that you contribute the $20 entry fee. Already I have pledges of over $400 so we are on track for this high goal. Of course people are permitted to donate more to the fund”.

RSVP is essential for participation and you can email Daniel personally at Daniel@dpmperformance.com.au to register your position and pledge your amount.

For those wondering what will be in store for the workout, Munday has hinted to expect the unexpected. “You’ll be working hard but we’ll be having a bit of fun too” was all he was willing to giveaway.
Munday closed by encouraging the Sydney office workers to bring a friend and support the charity drive. “I love that even in tough economic times that Australians of from all backgrounds are digging deep to benefit those less fortunate than ourselves. It is the Aussie way and I want to continue the tradition”.

Fat Loss Expert’s Last Minute Christmas Present Tips

Sydney Fat Loss expert, Daniel Munday has the perfect answer for people looking for a last minute present for the person on your list who is hard to buy for.

Munday has listed 3 of his top fitness gifts that will ensure satisfaction at your Christmas gathering as well as satisfaction that will continue to last through the year.

1) Done for you exercise to music soundtracks

The best gift that you can get the person that has everything else is a workout soundtrack mp3 program. This present gives you a done for you exercise music tracks that tell you when to go flat out and when to recover. “It is ideal for both cardio interval training sessions and strength training.

You can choose from so many different interval programs that it gives you an endless source of fat loss exercise music. You simply upload them onto your mp3 player and press play. It just doesn’t get any easier.” Munday says. You can only find these popular soundtracks online here

2) Foam Roller

For the serious trainer a must have accessory that few people actually have is a foam roller. These long cylinder pieces of foam are a godsend for people with really tight muscles or injury concerns. “It is like having your own personal masseuse on call” is how Munday sums them up. “Your recovery will improve and your flexibility will increase as well” he continues. The best quality foam rollers are available at Rebel sport stores or online here

3) Gift voucher for a group training program

A group training program, or boot camp style of workout, is a great way to introduce you to a training routine with a professional and qualified fitness expert. “The best thing about group sessions is the support network that people give each other.

Research has shown that you need the help of others to reach your goals whether it be for fat loss or general fitness and the best way is to get your friends and train together” Munday states.

The other benefit of group training is it is a lot cheaper than personal one on one training sessions which is ever important in these times of financial belt tightening.

The above three gifts are certain to put a smile on the faces of anybody who receives them this Christmas season and to encourage people to take action now, Daniel Munday is offering a personal one on one fifteen minute phone coaching call to accelerate your fat loss results for anybody who responds to this release and purchases his Aussie Fatblast Success System online fat loss resource.

Fat Loss Tips to Keep the Weight Off this Christmas

The Christmas season has snuck up on us once again and it seems that everywhere you turn there are Christmas parties, Christmas drinks, just about any excuse for a social get together will do. You have two options at this time of year.

You can be like most people and write off December and be behind the eight ball come January 1 just like every other year.

This is a bad choice as it only leaves you needing to lose even more weight than you do now.

Or you can choose the smart option and implement the three little secrets that I am about to share with you that will increase your chance of success of getting through this festive season without the weight gain of previous years.

You might surprise yourself and even lose weight at this time of year which is always a nice bonus!

1) Eat before you go out to a party

The chances are the food options at your function or party will not be the perfect nutrition choice to aid your fat loss mission so you will need to plan ahead.
The easiest way to do this is to make sure you eat something healthy just before you go out. The perfect snack will be something that has protein as an ingredient. Your best bet will be raw, unsalted nuts, a can of tuna or salmon or even some yoghurt.

Eating this just before you leave will fill you up and you will be less likely to rely on the plates of nibbles that offer no nutritional value.

If you forget to eat before you go out, make sure you stick with the vegetable snack plate. Carrot and celery sticks with hummus are a great option to curb any cravings and the bowl of nuts is always going to be better than the chips. Just be careful that the salt on these nuts doesn't make you overeat.

2) Get in a pre-party workout

What better way to get ready for a big night out by putting in a big workout first? Putting the money in the exercise body bank will not only make you feel good about yourself but will leave you feeling more alert and in a great mood after your body releases all of the post exercise feel good endorphin hormones throughout your body.

You will feel like you have earned your drink after this workout, just don't go overboard!

3) Limit your drinking days

I always hear the excuse people need to have a drink every night because they have something on every night this week. This is just a certain route to failure.

The best way to get through the festive season is to plan ahead when you are going to have a drink. Let's be realistic here. It would be silly of me to say just don't drink because that is not going to happen. It is time to celebrate; we just need to do it sensibly.

My big tip here is to make sure you have at least three to four alcohol free days a week.

Unfortunately, alcohol is just empty calories that increase your belly fat. On your alcohol free days just stick to water and not the soft drinks.

Soft drinks are nearly as bad for your figure as alcohol.

Implement these three tips and you are going to be in far better shape than everyone else who says I'll start my fat loss mission next year.

Why wait to do tomorrow what you can do today? Good luck on your weight loss mission and enjoy the festive season while maintaining your training regime and you will get the body that you deserve.

Your Secret Weight Loss Tip - Protein, Protein, Protein

Whenever you hear somebody give you their latest tip to help increase your weight loss results, you can guarantee that there will be something different given out each time as the latest and greatest fad that will "definitely work for you".

The one tip that is rarely ever spoken about however is to ensure that you eat protein with each and every single meal. Why is protein so beneficial? There are a number of reasons but let me start from the top.

The most important reason why you should be having some type of protein with each and every meal that you eat each day is because it increases your body's sense of fullness.

What does this mean? Well, to put it simply, you will not be as hungry after eating something that has protein as the major ingredient. You will feel fuller longer. Compare this to if you eat something that is highly processed and full of sugars like potato chips. Your body will be craving them and without a doubt you will be feeling hungry again almost as soon as you finish your mouthful and you will want to eat more and more without ever getting that sense of fullness until you have stuffed yourself silly.

Another great reason is because protein is also known as the body's building block. It is used to repair your muscles after training and exercise. By having protein you will be helping repair those muscles that you have exhausted during your session and it will help you emerge leaner and stronger as a result.

Now that you know two reasons why protein is essential to your daily diet requirements, what are the best sources for you to get this protein?

Glad you asked! The best sources are those that are fresh and natural. Good examples include lean meats like turkey and chicken breast; lean red meats are also a good source. Eggs, nuts, seeds, lentils, tofu, and beans are also all great ways to get your protein intake each day. You could even include Greek yoghurt as a good protein source as this has little human interference. Being a vegetarian is no excuse as you saw some great examples above that are vegetarian options.

Protein is an essential component of every meal that you have from breakfast right through to your after dinner snack. Once you realise the importance that protein plays in your weight loss role, only then will you be able to finally achieve the body that you deserve and rightly desire.

Press Release: Sydney Fat Loss Small Business Owner Fires Up

For Immediate Release

20th November, 2008

Successful Local Fat Loss Small Business Owner Defies Christmas Party Downsizing

Daniel Munday
DPM Performance
http://www.dpmperformance.com.au

Daniel Munday, one of Sydney’s premier fat loss experts and owner of the DPM Performance group training business, today fired back at the corporate scrooges who are downsizing their Christmas parties due to the current economic situation.

In what seems a strange position for a fitness professional to take, especially with the drinking and eating binges that Christmas parties are often known for, Munday is disappointed that 48 per cent of companies are allegedly slashing their Christmas party budgets in half, while a third of business surveyed recently are not having any party at all. “This is the time of year that companies should be rewarding their staff and clients for their efforts over the past 12 months”

He went on to say “I know that I will personally be stepping up my annual Christmas Cans event to reward the efforts of my loyal clients who have really excelled beyond expectations this year”. In fact, in a secret sneak peak, Munday has revealed he will be giving his clients who attend a personal thank you present and a special incentive for them to strive to greater heights in 2009.

The DPM Performance Christmas Cans event is a highly anticipated event each year with clients keen to let down their hair and socialise in a much more relaxed environment then the sweaty training gear usual sessions that they are used to.

Munday said "You don’t have to go overboard with these celebrations but it is essential to acknowledge the efforts and continued support of loyal people like I am lucky enough to have. These valued clients have helped my business thrive despite the so called tougher economic times”.

In a final call to action, Munday challenged fellow small business operators in all fields to step up to the plate and resist the temptation to tighten the financial purses. “It’s time to give back. That’s what the Christmas spirit is all about. Let’s all create some extra goodwill and 2009 will bring many more successes then you have ever previously imagined”.

Daniel Munday is a Fat Loss Expert and Group Training specialist who owns and operates the DPM Performance mobile training business based in the Sydney CBD and Inner West. Does Fruit Make You Fat?

I could make this a really short article and say NO and that would be it. But that would not really be a good look would it? Surely you need to be convinced why fruit will not make you fat, especially when there is all of the rubbish out there from people who advocate no carb diets right?

The people who preach about the no carb diets claim that all carbohydrates make you fat while at the same time tell you to consume their miracle weight loss drink that is full of artificial sweeteners. Don't you think this is a bit of a contradiction? Remember, these artificial sweeteners will actually make you eat more because your body's full receptors are turned off.

I would forget everything that they have told you right now and I will now show you why fruit does NOT make you fat. Yes, fruit is full of sugar. But it is natural sugar. It is sugar that your body needs.

The main reason why you should be eating fruit is simply because of all the vitamins and minerals that are contained in a simple piece of fruit.

Did you know that there are over 10,000 vitamins and minerals in an apple that have been discovered. Note that is not all there is, that is just the ones that have been discovered. And that is just from one little apple.

Your body needs fruit just like your car needs petrol.

If I had a choice of getting my sugar intake for the day from the 3 to 4 servings (at least) of fruit that I eat or from having a couple of sugars with my coffee, or by having bread for breakfast you should know what my answer would be.

It would be the fruit of course.

Embrace fruit as part of your fat loss mission and that will be one piece of the fat loss puzzle solved.

I definitely encourage you to reduce your carbohydrate intake to promote faster fat loss but that means reducing the processed carbs from your diet especially breads.

You should be snacking on fruit as a mid morning or mid afternoon snack option but don't forget the one big secret tip that will accelerate your fat loss results. Make sure you have protein with your fruit. Examples of this would include having raw nuts with your piece of fruit or having some fruit and yoghurt together.

Don't fear fruit. Fear the people who are trying to sell you their artificial supplements when you should be focusing on fresh fruits and vegetables, along with lean protein sources to maximise your fat loss and to ensure you have the body that you deserve.

Are you sick of the way you look? Daniel Munday is a Fat Loss Expert based in Sydney, Australia who is dedicated to separating the fitness fact from fiction in helping you solve your fat loss puzzle.

Is Greek Yoghurt Good or Bad For You?

My girlfriend had a great question for me the other day.

She likes to train hard and practices healthy eating like a lot of women these days.

But she had a great question.

She is smarter than the average person when it comes to nutrition.

That comes from the benefit of growing up in a sporting environment (and maybe listening to me rant on about different topics too!), so I am certain that she is not the only one confused by the food myths about nutrition that are out there today.

This question revolved around whether Greek yogurt is healthy for us considering it is higher in fat than other yogurt varieties.

It was a great question. Now it is time to bust some myths.

Greek yogurt is a great source of nutrition because it has minimal human interference.

This means that it does not have any artificial sweeteners, flavours, colours or any numbers or words that are too hard to pronounce.

That is always the giveaway that a food choice is not a good choice. If it has an ingredients list as long as your arm then it has been removed of any good that it initially had.

Greek yogurt is higher in fat than most other varieties of yogurt because it has not been poisoned with artificial sweeteners that are used to add taste once the fat has been taken out of something.

The danger of artificial sweeteners is they remove your body's ability to detect when you are full. This means that you are more prone to keep on eating and eating, meaning your waist line gets even bigger.

Foods that have natural fat have a tendency to fill you up so you don't need to eat as much. This is the same for foods that are high in protein.

Next time you are in the cold section of your supermarket I challenge you to compare the labels of Greek yoghurt (not fat free or low fat or course) with that of any yoghurt variety. While you are there, compare the same two yogurts with a low or fat free yoghurt and you will see how many more processed chemicals and rubbish is contained in them.

Don't be a victim of marketing that states that low fat foods and fat free foods are better for you. They are making your waist line bigger.

Don't believe all of the rubbish that you read in magazines or newspapers or from "Personal Trainers" and some nutritionist who have their heads stuck in the sand and are recycling the same out of date information that they were taught in college years ago.

Take the word of a real world fat loss expert who has been to the dark side and returned. Meaning of course, that I don't eat fat free or low fat foods anymore because I realise how bad they are to my fat loss mission. I hope that you will join me.

Get Outside and Burn Body Fat With This Fatblasting Workout

I have just had this article published by ezinearticles.com.

My favourite training location for getting a sweat on and burning some of that good ol' body fat is to get outside and get stuck into some outdoor training.

If you have not done much training recently, make sure you first have a clearance from your doctor and substitute the sprints that I am about to give you for some fast power walking.

If you are in a regular training pattern and with no injuries, there are no excuses - it is time to work and burn fat!

As always you need a good warm up to ensure that you are not going to injure yourself. Try jogging up the hill and jogging down, perform 10 Squats and 10 Push Ups then jog backwards up the hill and forwards down again. Repeat this warm up three times.

Now you should be warm and ready for action.

Begin with a Bear crawl up the hill. To do this get down on all fours and crawl like a bear it is that simple! As for all exercises, make sure you are sucking in your belly button to protect your lower back. When you get to the top, jog backwards down the hill and sprint to the top. Make sure there are no obstacles in your way when jogging backwards downhill.

Once you are at the top, crab walk down the hill. To do this, sit on the ground facing downhill with your hands facing forward. Now lift your backside off the ground and walk yourself down the hill with your hands and feet. That is one set. Your goal is to repeat this five times through.

Once you are done, and if you still have got some energy in the tank you can try the crab walk uphill, bear crawl downhill, sprint uphill, and jog backwards downhill to complete one set. Repeat this set five times.

Survived that one? Your next challenge is to make your way to the grandstand or bleachers if your park has one. Starting on the bottom step, plyometric jump your way up the stairs to the top. Make sure you land soft on the balls of your feet and squat down as you land, so you are ready to go straight into the next plyometric jump. Your back should not hurt when you do these. Walk back down and repeat this five times if it is a small grandstand or if it is a big grandstand jump all the way to the top and that should have you toasted.

Of course, you want to finish off with a good stretch that will stretch all of the muscles that you have just worked - a full body stretch where you hold each muscle for at least twenty to thirty seconds.

This outdoor training session can be performed anywhere with a hill. It is a great fat blasting routine to ensure you burn fat in minimal time.
